Beginnings of Radio 1
Radio Caroline was the first pirate Radio and the first band that ever played on Radio Caroline was The Rolling Stones. Radio 1 started in 1967 as response to the popularity of Radio Caroline.

Playlists
There is a A list which plays a selection of songs 25-30 times a week, B list which plays another selection of songs 10-20 times a week and finally a C list which plays a selection of songs 5 times a week.

Last week we watched a clip from Bob Marleys concert live in London, England on YouTube

I really enjoy and respect Bob Marleys music, So i really enjoyed listening and watching the songs live. There was a great atmosphere in the crowd when he played " No women, No cry".

This week has past very quickly which is always good, I have also learned a few new things this week in class. Last day today, looking forward to the long weekend, really enjoying the course at the moment, hope it gets better as the year goes on.

My favorite album is Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, The album became the fastest selling debut album in the Uk since records began, selling over 360,000 copies in its first week. It has since gone triple platinum in the UK, and won the 2006 Mercury Prize.
